The Blacks 3D-Lab was established in 2019 and has evolved ever since, demonstrating how the blending of different technologies is able to boost production performance and innovation.
The 3D-Lab hosts two printers based on different additive manufacturing technologies.
Together they make it possible to take full advantage of the great versatility of 3D printing:
from rapid prototyping to the production of direct moulds with very high surface finish, up to the production of hollow composite parts.
- Stratasys Fortus 450mc
Technology: Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
Printing area: 406 x 355 x 406 mm
With mandrel solubilization tank
Wide range of depositable materials, including soluble materials for disposable mandrels, and full service capability: engineering and manufacturing of the mandrel, lamination and curing, mandrel dissolution, finishing and quality controls.
- Formlabs' Form 3L
Technology: Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)
Printing area: 335 x 205 x 300 mm
Resolution: 25 microns
Wide range of materials to be deposited, and an exceptional surface quality, which reduces preparation time of the printers, while maintaining an excellent finish.
